User Data and Subject Data

Information collected can be broken into two categories.

• User Data: information about the person using the Website, entering data, and/or subscribing to our services (a "User"). For PolicyLink, that includes agency staff who create links and, when a person opens a PolicyLink themselves, that person as a visitor.
• Subject Data: information about or pertaining to individuals or businesses (a "Subject") that is entered into the Website by a User, or that is retrieved for quoting. Current policy details about an applicant, household, property, or vehicle are Subject Data.

MeasureOne as a third-party for optional policy import

Some PolicyLinks offer an optional carrier connect powered by MeasureOne, a third-party service. That step only appears when the agency enables it.

If you choose to connect a carrier account, you enter login credentials with MeasureOne, not on a PolicyLink form. PolicyLink does not collect or store those carrier credentials. Information you provide in the MeasureOne widget is handled by MeasureOne under its own privacy policy.

Policy details MeasureOne retrieves and returns to the agency are Subject Data. We use that Subject Data so the agency can quote and service coverage. MeasureOne is not RiskAdvisor.

Consent to provide Subject Data

Any User who enters Subject Data warrants that they have the legal right to provide that Subject Data. Agencies must only collect policy information with the consent of the person or entity for whom the quote is obtained, as described in our Acceptable Use policy and Terms of Service.

Children under the age of 16

Our Website is not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under age 16 may provide any personal information to or on the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on this Website. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 16, contact us at hello@riskadvisor.insure.

Information we collect and how we collect it

We collect User Data and Subject Data, including information by which a User or Subject may be personally identified (such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, or another identifier); information that is about a User or Subject but does not identify them; and, for User Data, information about a User's internet connection, equipment, and usage details.

• Directly from a User when provided to us, including PolicyLink submissions, uploaded documents, and agency account information
• From MeasureOne when an agency enables carrier connect and the customer completes that flow
• Automatically as a User navigates the Website, which may include usage details, IP addresses, and cookies or similar technologies

Information Users provide to us

• Information a User provides by filling in forms, including Subject Data entered into PolicyLink and User Data provided when subscribing to RiskAdvisor
• Records and copies of correspondence if a User or Subject contacts us
• Details of transactions a User carries out through the Website, which may include financial information needed to place an order

Automatic collection

As a User navigates the Website, we may collect details of visits (traffic data, location data, logs, and resources accessed) and information about the computer and internet connection (IP address, operating system, and browser type).

Automatic collection helps us operate and improve the Website. Technologies may include cookies. A User may refuse cookies in the browser; some parts of the Website may then be unavailable. We do not collect personal information automatically, but we may associate this technical data with personal information a User provides or that we receive from other sources.

How we use User Data

We use User Data, including personal information, to present the Website; to provide requested products or services; to fulfill the purpose for which it was provided; to send account notices; to carry out contracts (including billing); to notify Users about changes; in any other way described when the information was provided; and for any other purpose with the User's consent.

How we use Subject Data

We use Subject Data, including personal information, for obtaining insurance quotes. That necessarily involves giving Subject Data to vendors, insurance carriers, and others in the insurance industry, who may or may not have an obligation to keep that Subject Data private. We also use it to fulfill the purpose for which the User provides it, and for any other purpose with the Subject's consent.

Disclosure of information

We may disclose aggregated and anonymized information about Users and Subjects, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

• To our subsidiaries and affiliates
• To contractors, service providers, and other third parties that support our business, including MeasureOne when carrier connect is enabled, vendors, insurance carriers, and others in the insurance industry for obtaining quotes
• To a buyer or successor in a merger, sale, or similar transfer of RiskAdvisor, Inc assets, if personal information is among the assets transferred
• To fulfill the purpose for which the User provides it, for any other purpose disclosed when it was provided, or with User consent (User Data) or Subject consent (Subject Data)
• To comply with law, court order, or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Service; or if disclosure is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of RiskAdvisor, Inc, our customers, or others, including fraud protection

Your privacy rights

Federal and state law may provide additional rights regarding personal information, including rights to access, amend, delete, transport, and object to or restrict processing. State law may also provide a right to opt out of certain disclosures to third parties. To exercise those rights, email hello@riskadvisor.insure with your specific request.

Data security

We have implemented measures designed to secure personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. See our Security page for PolicyLink-specific controls.

The safety of information also depends on Users. If you have a password for part of the Website, keep it confidential. Transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of personal information transmitted to the Website. Transmission is at your own risk.

We post changes to this policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat personal information, we will notify you through a notice on the Website home page. The date this PolicyLink presentation was last revised is at the top of the page. Please review this policy periodically.
