Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use policy applies to the PolicyLink public host, branded PolicyLink URLs, and related PolicyLink endpoints. It supplements the Terms of Service. The RiskAdvisor Terms of Service Agreement states that the services may be used solely to procure insurance quotes from insurance carriers, and only with the consent of the person or entity for whom the quote is obtained.
Permitted use
Use PolicyLink to collect current policy information needed to quote or service personal or commercial insurance, with appropriate consent. Agencies must configure links for that purpose and must not use submissions for unrelated marketing or data brokering.
- Collect current policy details from a willing applicant or authorized representative
- Operate branded import for an insurance agency's own book of business
- Enable optional MeasureOne carrier connect only for legitimate quoting
- Report problems, abuse, or security issues through the published contact channels
Prohibited use
You may not use PolicyLink for unlawful, fraudulent, offensive, or obscene activity. You must comply with Applicable Laws, including privacy, insurance, telemarketing, and consumer-protection rules that apply to your agency.
- Phishing, credential harvesting, or impersonating RiskAdvisor, PolicyLink, MeasureOne, an agency, a carrier, or a government entity
- Asking anyone to type carrier login credentials into a PolicyLink page that is not the MeasureOne connect widget
- Spam, malware distribution, or flooding endpoints
- Collecting information from children under 16, or collecting Subject Data without the right to provide it
- Using PolicyLink to harass, threaten, or discriminate, or to publish content that is hateful or sexually exploitative
- Attempting to probe, scan, or disrupt PolicyLink except as part of a coordinated responsible disclosure
Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate access, reject submissions, or report activity to agencies, carriers, or law enforcement when we reasonably believe this policy or the Terms of Service have been violated. See Report Abuse to tell us about misuse.
